Piet and Dora met in Valencia and quickly realized that they shared a passion for both wine, their adopted city and events. Over that first glass of red they formed the concept of Vino Valencia and resolved to make their vision a reality, no matter how many bottles would be needed to fuel the creative process.

Dora Birindelli was born in Italy and she is a Graduate in Linguistic and Multimedia Communication and Publicity. Following a brief stint as Office Assistant for Advertising Company Mas Communication in Florence, she was promoted to Marketing Director, actively supporting the city theatres network.

Her desire to travel and enthusiasm took her to London in summer 2006, where she got a Master Degree in Events Marketing Management at London Metropolitan University; shortly after she started an internship with IMG Artists, one of the leading companies in the arts management business. This was a very satisfactiory period in her professional life, being directly involved in the organization and running of the Tuscan Sun Festival 2008, as Marketing and Logistic Assitant.

March 2009 saw her move to Valencia with the firm intention of putting her knowledge and experience to good use, while enjoying life in this vibrant and welcoming city.

Piet Bos has spent more of his adult life away from his native Netherlands than in it. Beijing, China was his home for a decade before coming to Valencia in September 2008. He spent many years successfully organizing networking events in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen under the name YPHH. These events drew crowds of up to 700 people and formed a platform for the local communities to network in the broadest sense of the word. Typical events were monthly Wine Nights, Happy Networking Events and special events such as Belgian Beer Nights.

Piet is also active in the tourism industry and keeps busy by developing websites. When not busy, Piet can often be found enjoying a glass of vino somewhere in Valencia.
