Built in 1993, Bodegas Torrevellisca was started by 20 dels Alforins Fontanars farmers who, after considering the conversion of vineyards years ago, decided to unite under this name for establishing a common direction towards obtaining high quality wines.

Today, Bodegas Torrevellisca opens a new phase and commitment in order to address a significant growth in business volume, combining tradition and modernity ..

Bodegas Torrevellisca totally controls the production of their wines, allowing to keep a strict and constant quality control through selected crop. A winery with its own vineyards, which has established production protocols that ensure perfect traceability of their wines.

The first wines of Bodegas Torrevellisca appeared on the Spanish market in 1993; The Acceptance Torrevellisca wine has been so great that it was decided to increase the capacity of the aging cellars, in order to devote part of them to the export production.

A renewed and very careful process has enabled us to obtain top quality wines. Analyses were conducted by independent laboratories and our wines qualified as excellent.

Our facilities are spread over 48,450 m2 of land, 1920 of which are designed to hold and drafts. Their arks are home to 600 barrels of American oak and French, and more than 20,000 bottles rest in the bottle, where the wines Torrevellisca acquire accurate roundness. The winery is equipped with controlled fermentation tanks and stainless steel facilities, including a bottling line of over 2,000 bot. / hour.

Despite having this first-class infrastructure, Bodegas Torrevellisca still controls strictly its productive capacity in order to continue offering high quality wines.

Torrevellisca wines, after undergoing a rigorous selection process, are subject to aging in oak barrels and then bottled. It is in the bottle where the wine reaches the peak of its evolution, protected from any contact with air and This long process requires attentive care at every moment by winemakers and tasters alike. At the end of this long process, the wine is finally allowed to reveal the excellence that nature has bestowed.

In the era of technology and mechanization, Bodega La Encina choose to be craftsmen, in order to be able to look after their grapes and their wines, to care for a unique product as well as to place this product on our table that respects its environment and the future and past of the land in which it grows, cultivating varieties of indigenous grapes that date back a thousand years.

The vineyards are located in Almansa and Caudete in Castilla La Mancha and Villena in Alicante. It is the only land without phylloxera and practically without fungal attacks.

Bodega La Encina undertake TOTALLY ORGANIC cultivation, without the use of any fertilizers or chemical treatments. They harvest the grapes by hand, with expert care they are transported in boxes in the lorries so as they don’t break or ferment before arriving at the winery.

The winery and its processes are subject to strict controls by official organisations that endorse us with their quality marks.
Currently, the wines of the Bodega La Encina are recognised and regulated as ORGANIC WINES, with both the cultivation and the production complying with the corresponding auditory controls.

The wine-making tradition began in the 1920´s with Feliciano Cárcel, grandfather to the current owners. His sons took over in the 1940´s with Ernesto senior building a new bodega. His sons, the two brothers commenced a modernisation process in the early 80´s producing their first wine in 1982, Rebollar, a red wine whose name survives today as a young style wine also sold in bag in the box format.

Today Carlos makes his wine from this original bodega and Ernesto makes his from a subterranean bodega on the outskirts of town, which was built in the early 90´s.

Ernesto and Pepa Cerveró have some 20 hectares of Macabeo, Bobal, Garnacha and Tempranillo which from the 2011 vintage will be ecologically certified and will carry the certification on its labels which should help with marketing in Northern Europe. Currently the wines are sold directly from the property and through a distributor in Valencia. Ernesto is also a committee member of Ferevin, the organisation responsible for Requenas August wine fair each year and which his brother Carlos is President of.

The bodega is set into a hill-side and consists of a main building housing stainless-steel deposits on the lower level together with a bottling, tasting and sales area. Upstairs there are the destalking machine and press, as well as a laboratory and an office. The barrel park is a long brick-lined tunnel set off the rear of the ground floor and here can be found the american oak barricas which Ernesto prefers.

Bodegas Torroja has its origins from the old cellar of the Garcia family from 1910 and has spread its business over several generations.

Currently, the winery has expanded and modernized, allowing them to offer to their customers, wines with an high level of quality.

The winery currently has over 200 hectares of their own vineyards located on two farms, EL PARREÑO Y CASA GARRIDO; the vineyards and winery are located at the end of Venta del Moro over 700 meters high and with a continental climate with Mediterranean influence, providing an ideal setting for growing of the vine.

LATORRE AGROVINICOLA SA, which is the result of constant renewal, has managed to combine tradition with the most advanced methods and modern wine-making, always aiming to achieve the quality of their wine Macabeo, Malvasia, Verdejo, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Bobal.

In 1968, Don José María Latorre, a small grower, who dedicated his life to growing and producing his own grapes with his three children, Jose Maria, Miguel and Luis, founded LATORRE AGROVINÍCOLA, SA, which is now managed by the third generation, although still following the same philosophy and family tradition.

The high technology and modern machinery provide security in the selection and processing of those grapes which will become wine.

The Señorío de Villafamés vineyards are on the Mas Nou estate in the municipality of Bajo Maestrazgo, Castellón.The area has a long tradition of producing still wines, using the old local cooperative winery. Bodega J. Belda is a familiar winery founded in 1931. The current wine maker is Daniel Belda, a professional oenologist who has inherited a long family tradition of wine making.

In 1966, Pascual Martin began producing wines high in the zone of Alto Mijares, Castellón. They were signature wines, produced according to ancient traditions of the area of “Los Calpes”. As a result, “Viña Umbria”, “Castillo de Pradas” and “Castillo de la Viñaza” were bottled, three wines which left a deep impression on all who tasted them.

In 2007, three of his grandchildren, Alejandro Martin Benlloch, David Mocholí Martin and Jorge Mocholí Martín take up his dream and his project, producing “high altitude wines” under the “Denominación de Origen Valencia”.

Respect for the environment, traditions and the work well done, makes the wines produced in this winery, unique products of proven quality; the objective is to produce excellent wines, with artisan methods, taking care of every stage of winemaking. The cellar has a small deposits prepared for micro vinification, between 3000 and 5000 liters per tank in order to help to control the most of the variables affecting the wine and getting aromas and great personality in all the wines.
